About me

Before all else, I am a mom to three amazing girls and a wife to a very loving and supportive husband. Also in our family is a feisty Chihuahua - Zack, and a beautiful feral cat - Bella.

During my first pregnancy, I did what most new parents do, read a lot about babies. I learned about the health benefits of breastfeeding while creating an emotional bond with my baby, and I knew I wanted to breastfeed. I had no clue it was going to be so tricky!

I found myself with minimal support from supply and latching difficulties, breast engorgement, and the rollercoaster of emotions we go through during those first weeks. I was overwhelmed by the amount of information online.

Through it all, being able to breastfeed all three of my children is an experience that goes well beyond breastmilk; it is a priceless bond! As a result, I grew very passionate about all things related to lactation and began researching and taking courses on how to overcome difficulties

As a Registered Nurse providing care to families in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and special care nursery, I obtained more insight and saw firsthand the struggles during breastfeeding, which motivated me to get my certification as a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC).  Consequently,  I chose to acquire the highest level of lactation credentialing as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).  I have been providing support to breastfeeding mothers for the last 10 years. There is still so much more to learn; therefore, I continue to take continuing education courses on lactation, oral function, and infant massage to provide the best possible care.

My mission is to empower mothers and families with the tools, support, and knowledge of evidence-based practices, to promote a healthy and positive infant feeding relationship.

A few drops of breastmilk for your baby is better than nothing at all.
Your worth as a parent is NOT measured by the amount of breast milk you provide.
